Couponing saves money.  If you do it right, it can save you a lot of money.  Without being a hoarder, you can coupon and stockpile a small “store” of your own, and go “shopping” at “your store” paying “your prices, instead of paying retail prices.  You can even get things for free for yourself, or to donate to people in need.  Since I have started couponing, I have easily cut my spending by half, if not more (and I’ve always been a bargain shopper).  And you can do the same with a little time and a few (totally legit) “tricks” (Basically pair a store sale with a Manufacture coupon – and maybe a store coupon- it’s really that simple).

Happy couponing! :)

***Something to think aboutdepending on the way you currently shop, using the methods on this site may drastically change the way you shop.  You cannot simply make a list of whatever you want, maybe throw a few coupons on top of it, and expect to see significant savings.  The methods discussed work by pairing store sales with coupons and developing a small stock pile – your own “store” with your own prices.  Of course there will always be items that crop up or are needed that aren’t on sale.  In these situations, that is where it is nice to have a price list for things you buy often (discussed in Learning to Coupon).

I put up this site because I want everyone to save money.  I used to think that couponing was a huge waste of time.  I even tried a few times, clipping a few coupons, and not seeing any real savings for all the time it took and not keeping it up.  But I look back and I think of all the money I could have saved if I had started couponing this way earlier in life.  It pains me to see others paying retail without even thinking of it.  Saving money is my passion, and I love sharing it with others.

Much of this information came from www.pocketyourdollars.com .  This information is as up to date as I know at the date of posting.  Any opinions are mine, and just that, opinions.  Please visit PYD or email Carrie Rocha (she is couponing diva!) at carrie@pocketyourdollars.com with any questions regarding that site.  Happy couponing!
